Character Information

Name: Sinien Leviathan
Alias’: 'Sin'
Age: 17

Outfit: Codenamed "Hooded", Sinien wears a dark grey hoodie with teal highlights along the edge of his hoodie. Underneath he wears a simple navy-blue shirt. He also wears black jeans and dark grey sneakers with blue laces and highlights. His weapon is strapped to his left side. 
Physical Appearance: Standing at 5'9", Sinien has an average build, a bit short compared to others but taller than a majority of his family. He has a slightly tanned skin tone, much like his family. He has short and messy dark blue hair, with neon blue highlights at the tips of his hair. He has very dark brown eyes, almost black if you didn't look closely.

Psychological Profile: Sinien has the tactical skills and leadership qualities that make him an obvious candidate for all leadership roles, especially in his own team. He constantly endeavors to build a sense of unity, camaraderie and trust between himself and all members of whatever team he is on, regardless of his role within said team. If given the chance, he often wishes to try and conduct activities such as unorthodox trust exercises and icebreakers to help himself and his team familiarize themselves with each other. His tactical mind is also constantly sharpened by engaging in activities that require a lot of tactical thinking, from playing strategy games to engaging in military simulation events.

Sinien is a utilitarian through and through. If you presented the trolley problem to him he would instantly choose to save the lives of the five strapped to the tracks and let the individual die, even if the problem was changed so that it was someone close to him. Sinien is steadfast in his beliefs that the needs of many outweigh the needs of the few. He is so steadfast in his beliefs that he occasionally comes of as arrogant in this regard, with some even going as far as to say that Sinien is unfit to be a huntsman as he lacks the empathy needed to connect with people on a personal level.

Sinien absolutely loathes any kind of harassment, discrimination, bullying, racism et. cetera. and chooses to stand up for those subject to discrimination. Because of his 'desire' for justice to those who are subject to discrimination, he is often very vocal during conversations concerning issues regarding races or ideology. He is also prone to making rash and untimely decisions because of his desire, which can lead Sinien to needlessly clash with others who have different views, or even similar views to Sinien. To that end, in any conflict that is not on the battlefield or about discrimination, he is also very uncomfortable with confrontation, always trying to find an alternative that benefits all parties to some degree.

However, being placed in a leadership role like leader of Team SLAG also brings out feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. In a situation like huntsmen and huntress teams, where each team member will be socializing, studying and training with each other for years, Sinien always wishes to try his best to be the leader he believes his team expects him to be. As such, he often pushes himself to his limit, and if he does fail in some aspect, he often believes that it is a result of his inadequacies as an individual, and as a leader. If not monitored, this could lead to self-destructive behavior.

Biography: Growing up in Atlas, it was expected that Sinien would enter the Atlesian military, much like his father, in “safeguarding” Atlas. As he grew older, his eyes were slowly opened to the sins committed by Atlas, from their poor treatment of faunus in the dust mines, to them being on the wrong side of history in the Great War 80 years prior. He resisted falling into the same mold as many other Atlesian children his age, and decided to make himself to be a huntsman, one who stood up for those who could not stand up for themselves, not for fame, riches, or glory, but because it was right, and it was the decent thing to do.

Day after day, he continued to sharpen his mind and his skills in battle, taking up sword fighting, and learning how to wield weapons such as the chokutō. During this time also, he parents pressured him to join the Atlesian military as a member of the Special Operatives Unit when the time came, but he vehemently refused. He wanted to help people, free of constraints and allegiances, with his goal to protect the people, not keel over to agendas of power and control, veiled as security and safety.

Eventually the conflict between Sin and his parents came to a head on his 16th after being accepted into Signal Academy, showing no interest in joining the Atlas Primary Combat School – Alsius Academy. His parents then presented him an ultimatum, dedicate his life to Atlas or leave it entirely. Without a moment’s hesitation he stormed out the door with all his possessions that he could take with him in hand, and took the first airship to Sanus, putting Atlas behind him.

Weapon Name: Cthulhu’s Breath
Weapon Description: Cthulhu’s Breath can take on two forms, Sword Form and Carbine Form.

Sword Form: Cthulhu’s Breath's normal form, it takes the appearance of a chokutō. The weapon is a tinted silver color. A unique top-mounted magazine can be inserted upside down at the bottom of the hilt and can be used to fire rounds while in sword form. The weapon has a blade length of 71 cm/28 inches and a hilt length of 18 cm/7 inches. The weapon itself is made from an alloy that was as strong as metals such as titanium but was also lightweight to help deal with Sinien's physical strength, or lack thereof.

Carbine Form: By activating some mechanisms in the hilt of the sword, the hilt can be angled down, a trigger mechanism coming out. The blade also splits in half, separating and allowing space for a small caliber magazine to be inserted.

Semblance Name: Ballistics
Semblance Description: Samuel's semblance, which he calls Ballistics is the manipulation of bullets, a form Pyromachikákinesis, which is the ability to control ammunition. Sam can use his semblance to control every aspect of any bullet fired in his vicinity, such as the velocity, direction and power of the bullets within the laws of physics. He can control many kinds of bullets, whether it be regular bullets, dust bullets, or even dust-metal infused bullets. He is limited in the regard that he can only control projectiles that have a speed of over 1,000m/s, so namely small-arms bullets, not projectiles such as darts, arrows and lower velocity rounds such as rocket-propelled grenades, rockets, missiles and such. He is also limited within the laws of physics.

Artist Notes:

• In the two years between my OC's original conception and today, Sinien had a different name, and until maybe last week, it was originally Samuel Levithian. I was initially fine with the name, but I realized early on that I had spelt Leviathan wrong. Also I didn't feel like Samuel went with the color naming convention set by Monty when the show started. Sinien comes from sininen, which I believe is Finnish for blue, which goes with his color theme.
• The only real allusion that Sinien has is to the Leviathan. The leviathan is from the Hebrew Bible, which later became a term for "great whale" and other large sea creatures, such as the Megalodon, Kraken, and for me, H.P Lovecraft's Cthulhu. This is mainly seen in his color theme of blue, like the sea.
• If there's anything I'm not really happy with, its the hair and the eyes. To me it doesn't look 'right'. I can't really put my finger as to how it doesn't feel right, but I know I'll have an opportunity in the future to improve it, after I do the rest of the team at least.
• Another issue that I have, and this is consistent with all of my OC's thus far, is the footwear. That's gonna take work, and for the rest of them, it's gonna look rough.
